What's your background?
I'm a seasoned creative that studied photography at Otis College of Art and Design (BFA in Communication Arts). I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember — coming up in the era of film, with memories of long hours spent in the darkroom, watching images magically appear from blank white sheets of photo paper. It was there that my love of the medium developed and why my work exhibits a film look to this day. In my 20+ year career, I have shot for Apple, Samsung, Cooper Tires, and more. My work has been seen on those brands' websites & socials, and I've been published on the web and in print for my fashion editorial work.
How do you photograph weddings & events?
On your special day, my focus will be to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the serene and lively moments, and all those unique details that make your wedding day truly special. I blend in with party to achieve my candid editorial style, and am attentive and communicative when it's time for group photos and portraits.
Where are you located & do you travel?
I'm based in San Luis Obispo, California, and can travel anywhere in SLO County without additional costs. I'm happy and eager to travel wherever your special occasion might be occurring. I am hugely inspired by shooting in places that allow me to see with fresh eyes. Depending on location and duration, travel and lodging fees will be built into the price of the shoot.
Does pricing include retouching?
Absolutely. Photos aren't complete until distinctive adjustments have been made to amplify drama and match the atmospheric mood of the scene that I witnessed during the shoot.
When will I receive photos?
One week. That's my aim, as I know the importance of having photos in a timely manner while your event is fresh on attendees minds. If my schedule is particularly busy, it could take up to two weeks, but no longer than that. With your online digital gallery, anyone with the link can download photos and share them on socials. If you like the real deal, you can even order prints and albums right from the gallery and have them shipped to you. For your privacy, galleries can also be secured with a password.
How many photos will I receive?
Depending on the size and scope of our shoot, number of images can range from 50 to 600 (that's a lot!). I will cull your selection down to only the best and most significant images so you won't be sifting through second-rate images for days.
